Restriction of User Functions Not working

I have turned off the ability for comments to specific groups but they are still able to post comments. Why is this? I thought all that was needed to restrict this function was to make the comments and voting red. Is this incorrect?

In the setup screen there's

In the setup screen there's also an option to disable commenting.Did you remove the check there?

This disables all the commenting options.
The red making of comments and voting in the setup only disables the menu in which you could change some items.

I need to have comments

I need to have comments available. What I also need is a way to only allow a certain group of people to comment. I am confused as to why you would turn on or off the setup? There is a real need to be able to allow only registered users to comment.

I've read your post in

I've read your post in another thread about how you need the commenting. But as far as I know, it's only possible to allow commenting to everybody or no commenting at all.
Perhaps Patrik could make this a point to put in the next version of PA.
