Upload Manager problems

Hi!
I have some problems with the Upload Manager,

I get this:

"FTP-Support is not enabled!! You are not able to use upload manager. Ask your provider to enable or install it."

Is there anything I can do or do I need to contact them.

When I use an FTP client it works well.

Any solution for my problem?

/Lugi

I would use FTP client, as

I would use FTP client, as in the upload manager you have nothing better, it is just workaround solution if you do not have any ftp client or if you are not familiar with ftp clients.

But of course you can contact your admins and ask them for FTP-Support in PHP.

Upload management Problems

Hi Patrik!

I realy need the "upload management" How do I get it to work?
My provider, is that the one server where I have my homepage on? Do they have to do something to get it to work?
Thanks for any help!

Hi Gustaf, yes, your

Hi Gustaf,

yes, your provider must enable FTP-Module in PHP to get this work.

Patrik

Providers issue then :-)

Thank you alot Patrik!

I´ll talk to my provider.
Keep up the god work!

Patrik, I am having the same

Patrik, I am having the same problem with not having upload manager enabled, and after reading that I need to get my server to enable file uploads in PHP, went to my control panel on my server and see that File_upload for PHP is Enabled... so your solution did not work for me. I want users to be able to upload files, but without the onboard file upload manager working, the program, though very nice, is useless to me. I have other PHP programs that do work for client uploading of files, so perhaps the problem is a little more involved than the simple solution you suggest. HELP!

I have the FTP enabled but

I have the FTP enabled but get a message that reads:

"Unable to change to directory /xxx/xxx/xxxx"

I don't have anything in a phpalbum folder it's directly on my wwwroot. Is this going to be a problem?

Has anyone else seen this with the upload manager and have any idea what it refers to?

Thanks,
Static
