UPgrading Error when I haven't changed anything

I've had the Album online for two weeks running beautifully. Now out of the blue I'm getting the following error:
upgrading from:to 0.4.1.14
applying changes for 0.4.1.9 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.10 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.11 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.12 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.13 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.14 version
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'lang/' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/primetimeagrimarketing/phpAlbum/language.php on line 7
I haven't changed anything to the album since I installed it and it has been working great until this point. Has it been hacked?

the same problem!!!
Hi, I have the same problem with my instalation. After three weeks of perfect work without changing anything it resulted to this message:
------------------------------------------
upgrading from:to 0.4.1.14
applying changes for 0.4.1.9 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.10 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.11 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.12 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.13 version
applying changes for 0.4.1.14 version
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'lang/' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /users/zalohovane/user/www/galerie/language.php on line 7
------------------------------------------
Do someone know what to do with it? I've downloaded and copied all fresh instalation files over my old files, but have the same error... :(
looks like there you have
looks like there you have some access right problems, i you do not bother about your settings and picture descriptions, just try to delete all files in your data directory. It will generate new database, but you will have to setup all the thins as by new installation.
Has a fix been identified that doesn't require a rebuild?
In googling around on this error I found a handful of other web sites that google has picked up as giving the same errors so this seems pretty widespread.
My web host is ixwebhosting and my server is running:
Apache 1.3.31 and PHP 4.3.11
I'm wondering if my web host may have upgrade apache or php to these levels and with that phpAlbum is not compatible with it.
Is blowing away the data the only solution?
more info...
After further inspection....
I have a second install of phpAlbum on the same web host and this is working fine. This second install was probably done a couple of months after the one that's failing. Perhaps a apache/php upgrade occurred in the interim. I'm trying to get the approximate upgrade time frame from my hosting provider.
The same problem
I've got the same problem. Did anybody found the solution, that not requires reinstalling complete album?
possible fix?
I just had the same problem.
I THINK I fixed it. Not sure about some collateral damage down the line.. but I got it to possibly work
What I did:
in the data directory - ftp all the files in the data directory into your hard drive
delete all the files from the data directory (dont delete the directory itself, just the files)
Go to the album main page on your site. do a reload refresh (or whatever it is in your browser). This will generate a new database.
Now go to your ftp program and ftp ALL the files that you copied to your hard drive back to the data directory overwrite the files except the following files (you want the newly created files below to stay):
album_directory.php
album_phpalbum_version.php
album_setup.php
album_tabs.php
Again, go back to your main page, reload again. You should see your directories but no pictures.
Log into your page
'scan' the directories
It should be OK
The only question I have is with the sequence #. Not sure if I need to reset it or not.
If I find any other problems and a fix, I will update
Paul
update on fix
so far so good.
Only thing, so far I have had to fix is some setting on the 'setup' page -look and feel stuff, but the directories and pics, comments, etc seem to be OK
hope this helps
