New Group problem

I added a new group for my immediate family called "My Family". This appeared to work OK. I then went to Gallaries to configure access to parts of my album,, removing access to the top level from "Guests", "Family" and "Friends" and allowing acces to the top level folder to just "Superuser" and "My Family". On clicking the "Save Configuration" button, I received the following error messages. Can you please look into this as I cannot allow access to my album until this is corrected. I am running this album on my home desktop system with Apache and php, with redirection from an existing domain name to my PC and redirection via NAT to my desktop by my router based on the port number. This works fine and I have both a copy of my current website and a development version running under Apache along with this album, each configured as a "Virtual Host" in Apache. I am still able to view my album but cannot configure this new group and therefore all existing groups.

Here are the error messages:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `']'' in K:\My Documents\Album\phpdatabase.php(557) : runtime-created function on line 1

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in K:\My Documents\Album\phpdatabase.php on line 680

I'm experiencing the same problem. I hadn't used phpalbum for a while. I just tried to add a new group, which has worked properly before, however, I get this annoying error report:

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ']' in /public_html/phpAlbum/phpdatabase.php(557) : runtime-created function on line 1
Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /public_html/phpAlbum/phpdatabase.php on line 680"

Doesn't have to do with chmod access right, does it? I'm lost...
