Missing photos

Hi all,

New to this.

Have installed ok very easy.. have started uploading via ftp.

All was well.

however the last uploads i did have not worked?

Just get the folder with the image no pictures found?

I check on ftp client on the server and the upload worked the pics are present?

I have tried the scan directories option.

And done a refresh on browser (incloding force refresh so not cached)

But still nothing?

Any advise would be great

Oh not tried deleting and reuploading! the upload took all night so want to avoid if neccessary!

Thanks

Andy

I am having the same exact problem.

I also have the same problem

I also have the same problem but with some extra oddities.
Not only are there thumbnails and pictures not working in some of the albums, but if you check inside the subdirectory 2007 it lists images that isn't even there!

To clarify: In my /photos I have subdirectories named after years. The pictures are then stored in /photos/2007/070310[name of some event]/*.jpg.
On the server there are no pictures in /photos/2007/ yet phpalbum tries to list images which judging from filenames comes from subdirectories.

The link to my site is: www.sexmasteriet.com/bildalbum (don't be fooled by the adress, in sweden 'sex' has several meanings, in this case "party")

Hope somebody can help me!
I'm really awed by the fantastic php-script and wish I could make it work 100%!

have you tried a rescan of

have you tried a rescan of the galleries? Perhaps there was, for some kind of reason, info stored in a database file(I don't know if it's the right name for it)

I have tried to rescan

I have tried to rescan several times.
Since the pictures came from an older html album there were a lot of *.html files in the folders earlier but I've cleaned all that by now so I don't think that could have disturbed it in any way.

Any other ideas?

Yes, i have same problem on

Yes, i have same problem on phpalbum.
Try to change directory name and eventually it will display :))))
For example i tried myphoto, myphoto2, myphotoA and etc.

Which directory? /photos/ or

Which directory? /photos/ or the subcategories?
Guess I'll try both...

try to change subcategories

try to change subcategories directory name.

If you delete all files in

If you delete all files in data_xxx folder, a new scan reset all.
Heavy solution, but it works!

Deleting the contents of data_*** resulted in:
http://www.sexmasteriet.com/bildalbum/main.php?cmd=album

"You are not allowed view this page or download this image!"

And rescanning also results in the same page with no progress...

Been looking into other solutions, other php albums(idutgallery right now), but still haven't reached a good solution.

Can anyone explain why the

Can anyone explain why the rescanning results in "You are not allowed view this page or download this image!" even after I'm logged in?

Does it have anything to with file attributes?

From what I understand the data and cache folders must be set to 777, anything else that must be set?

Can mention that I finally

Can mention that I finally managed to find a solution to changing the php.ini settings, there seems to be something wrong with the main php.ini on the server but I found a workaround.

So right now I'm just hoping to get it running again and try a rescan when I have set a larger memory limit.

Do you see any symbols like

Do you see any symbols like [X] (Picture not found) or do you see nothing if you click into the galery?

How many pictures do you have in this folder?
Any special character in folder or picture name?
How much memory is assigned in the php.ini?
What is the average size of the pictures (mbyte and pixel)?
Is this the only galery with this failuar or any galery/subfolder?
Can you see the CPU load of server when opening the problem galery?
