OpenID authentication

I have read several requests for CMS integration, bridges with other systems or other SSO (Single sign on) requests.
It would be a solution to build openid support. This would make it possible to let the users login with their own openid.
What do other users think? Is this a good idea or does nobody use openid authentication yet? Would this require a lot of development time to integrate?

Really nice idea, I like "SSO" so I put it es feature request, I think it should not take very much time but it will surely not be in next version.
