Scanning Directories Is showing me (0) pictures!!!!

AAARRRGGGG!
I just can't figure this one out I've downloaded the most recent version of phpAlbum and installed it to the letter!
When it scans directories it shows all the directories but (0) pictures.
Anyone know what I can check on do I have a PHP setting that needs to be changed I was getting allowed memory errors from PHP but I fixed that only because I have 486 folders and 20,837 pictures. Could this be my problem?
I just removed all the photos and pictures and only left 3 folders and a hand full of pictures. Same problem Icons say "no pictures found" Where the directories are.

But did you use the web-installer or did you do it by hand?
If you did it by hand, perhaps you could try to install PA via the web-installer.

Scanning Directories Is showing me (0) pictures
I had a directory showing zero pictures, even though there were many pictures in the directory.
I tried scan directories many times and it always showed zero pictures.
Then I tried renaming the directory, and when I scanned directories with the new name, then it worked.

My setup is maybe a little unusual. My PC is my internet file server so there is no FTP uploading to do. I simply copy paste the pictures or directories from my personal files directories to my http file serving directories.
Maybe that is the source of some of my problems. I also have some pictures in other directories which display twice!

my php had safe mode enabled and when I disabled it the script worked

Is there a better photo album out there that doesn't take 5 minutes for the page to load? Just because I have lots of pictures!?!??!?

I have lots of pictures in my gallery too, and it does not take 5 minuts to load the page, only 5ms :) You have some problem there with the setup. I'm sorry I can not help you because this is a one man project and currently (last 1-2 months) I did not spent a second on this site, because I did not have a time for this. Hopefully this will change, until that, any other gallery which is fast enough on your server is better as a gallery which takes 5 minutes to load a page.

Are you sure, that the main page load 3 minutes every time?. This is very strange. The only thing which could do this is the directory scan for new photos, but this is automatically started only every 24h and takes for me may be 20 seconds for >4000 photos, and I never see this because there are still some other people or crawler which do it for me :)
can you please describe your configuration? OS,PHP and Apache version would be great. Do you have some official link to your site or did you removed it already?

I tried the registration before too, but after 5 tries I just gived up because it was frustrating to get every time some other error message.

I've used the automatic installation of my photo album, and the site is up, however I cannot get to the setup menu. When I click on setup, the only things on the menu are to change/update my info. There are no links. How do I get the rest of the items like on the demo...like gallery etc.

When other users want to know how to do this they have to ask the same question again.
Go to themes-page in setup
set logo-style to file
point logo file path to the folder you placed your desired logo.
click save configuration and you should have your company logo top left.

I have uploaded so many wallpapers in my directory and sub- directory,these directories are shown in Upload manager but i coudnt found it in gallery to scan.
