can't see the pictures

Hi,
i install phpAlbum on my home ubuntu machine with apache2 and PHP5.
it seems to work fine, i give the album directory: /home/"myuser"/Pictures/ and i manage to see the pictures names but i can't see the photos. instead i just see a little white icon.
can you please help my ?
