FTP-Support is not enabled!!

When i try upload manager in Setup it shows " FTP-Support is not enabled!! You are not able to use upload manager. Ask your provider to enable or install it. "
Actually i have access to FTP using FTP Client. i mean i have set up FTP access.
Please let me know how to resolve this issues

"Upload manager" is only
"Upload manager" is only working if you have installed and enabled ftp-module in your php installation.
But you do not need this, it is just the same as if you upload the pictures via ftp client.

First of all I want to let you know that this is the most fantastic free script I ever met. Not to mention the automatic install :)
Respekt! I will surely donate once I have it running, and also I'm gonna send you the Hungarian translation if you like.
Now I have a question, I cannot login to ftp @ upload manager however it worked with auto install. Is there a setting somewhere I have to change?

I'm having the same problem as Luigi, the settings worked fine with the wizard install but the same settings in Upload Manager give the following error in the error log when trying to connect.
ftp_connect(): php_hostconnect: connect failed
/vhost/vhost4/h/i/m/himleycc.co.uk/www/phpAlbum/setup.php (Line:1134)
