Description

Hi I am new to this and I am at my wits end, I have loaded up the software and created all my directories with the correct setting etc. However when it comes to caches I am completely and utterly lost. I am in the main setup section of the deployed website, however I can not for the life of me create or determine the cache directory. Do I create a cache, if so how? Do I rename an existing cache, if so which one? Ultimately I can not progress as the main web page says "You are not allowed view this page or download this image". If someone could help me or point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful

Thanks

Neil

You have to create 3 direcotries:

cache
data
photos

cache and data has to be writable for phpAlbum, photos readable.

Then edit config.php to point to the data directory, in this directory will be created internal database where everything about your album and your settigns will be stored.

If this is set up, just go to your phpAlbum site and log in as admin/admin. Go to the main setup and edit the photos and cache directory setting to point to your photos and cache directory. and that's it. After this you can upload pictures to your photos directory, after every upload rescan photos in Setup->Galleries and album should display your pictures.

If you have any problems just write me and email or PM with your ftp account and I could help you with that if I have time...
