Parse error after directory scan

I am getting this error when I hit scan directories

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/style24/public_html/SpeedShoot/phpdatabase.php(580) : runtime-created function on line 3

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/style24/public_html/SpeedShoot/phpdatabase.php on line 705

The pictures do show up in the gallerie but I cannot get past the error back to the admin screen. I think this is affecting my comments section also.
