Problem with using index.php and main.php

Hi,
Whenever I type the url of my gallery, the index.php file redirect it to main.php like http://www.example.com/main.php?cmd=album but I don't want it this way I want it to come as http://www.example.com/ that's it.
Please tell what configuration I have to do in order to achieve this.
I am also concerned with SEO friendly urls using mod rewrite, can you help me in figuring out how to do that in phpAlbum.

not sure what is your problem. Try to upload some pictures in to your photos directory, and rescan it in Setup->Galleries
